BACTOFIN Fuel Additive for two and four stroke petrol engines

BACTOFIN is a fuel stabilizer that also protects the tank from corrosion. For vintage and modern classic cars as well as new vehicles.

As a multifunctional and highly effective product with a special active agent combination consisting of protection from corrosion and wear, cleaning components as well as substances to optimize combustion and increase the octane rating, the gasoline stabilizer BACTOFIN protects the tank from corrosion and ensures the ignition readiness of your vehicle.

BACTOFIN contains the germ-killing substance WAGNER BactoPlus+. In addition, BACTOFIN offers the corrosion protection of a classic additive, stabilizes fuel and maintains its ignition readiness.

Missing prevention results in corroded tanks, clogged filters and damaged carburettors, pumps and injection systems!

The multifunctional fuel treatment product BACTOFIN is suitable for all Otto and Wankel engines consuming petrol. Thereby, it is not important if the engines ignite in two or four stroke rythm. Also modern engines can be protected by BACTOFIN which was proofed by tests concerning its compatibility to forced induction engines (turbochargers, G-Lader, superchargers) and to catalytic converters.

BACTOFIN is NOT suitable for plant oil and diesel fuels.

BACTOFIN - The Fuel System Treatment for fuel and fuel-ethanol mixtures

BACTOFIN optimizes every gasoline fuel - be it regular petrol, Super or SuperPlus. BACTOFIN is especially efficient in gasoline and super fuels containing bioethanol. This was tested in fuel-ethanol mixtures of a share in ethanol of  5%, 10%, 15%, 50% and 85%. BACTOFIN even can obtain improvements in Premium fuels offered by different oil companies.

BACTOFIN is not a ephemeral product. It is produced and refined by us since 1996 to optimize petrol fuels.

Information according to the German Ordinance on Waste Oils:

This product is not subject to the take-back regulations of the German Ordinance on Waste Oils because, when it is used normally, it will be completely consumed. Therefore, oil residues in terms of the Ordinance on Waste Oils will not arise.

From the tank to the combustion chamber - there is no better protection for your vehicle - buy BACTOFIN now - and use it regularly.

Protect your Tank from Rust

Modern fuels affect metal tanks.

Especially the tank of older vehicles need protection, while modern cars are more and more equipped with plastic tanks.

The second problem, arising from the fuels which nowadays are mixed with biogenic ones, concerns equally the owners of modern, older and very old vehicles: In ethanol fuels, bacteria are growing on an unprecedented scale, generating a lot of dirt which gradually clogs pipes and grows exuberantly in the tank especially of vehicles which are rarely used. If the worst comes to the worst, then only drastic measures help - up to the complete exchange of the fuel tank and of all parts of the fuel feed system.

And if this was not bad enough, modern petrol fuels loose their ignitability within a very short time.

Life in your tank?

The high share of bioethanol in modern fuels magically attracts water. As alcohols are hygroscopic, water cumulates in the tank and creates an ideal nutrient solution for microorganisms like bacteria, yeast and funguses. If the vehicle is not used for a longer time, they convert the alcohol at the boundary layer between water and alcohol mixture into acetic acid.

Source of Rust - Acetic Acid

Acetic acid is formed in the tank - using a biotechnical formulation - when bacteria respire incompletely the alcohol (ethanol). For this, theses microorganisms need a large amount of oxygen that unfortunately is present in each tank due to the engine structure. When driving, the movements of the vehicle even enrich and mix the fuel with oxygen.

But even without these microorganisms already the mere aging of the ethanol - combined with oxygen - by way of oxidation, results in acetic acid in the tank.

And - no matter how it is formed - the corrosion damage caused by acetic acid in steel tanks and metal parts of the fuel feed system are disastrous, because acetic acid is the natural enemy of any metal. Acetic acid is one of the fastest and most aggressive corrosion accelerators ever.

The myth of ethanol-free petrol:

Many vehicle drivers have not yet noticed - for a long time already, there is hardly available ethanol-free fuel at the gas station. Only on the website of ARAL there is a hint that the ARAL Ultimate 102 does not contain bioethanol. Anyone sighing with relief, now should continue to read: "Aral Ultimate 102 is not mixed up with bioethanol, but with high-quality bioether". The micro bacteria do not care. They take both.

Therefore - and because of a petrol that is refined to be virtually fat-free - it is worth the use of the re-greasing fuel additive Bactofin on ALL vehicles, from vintage to brand new cars.

If you always use BACTOFIN, your tank will be shiny!

A carburetor or an injection system cannot work reliably in the long term if the fuel does not provide a minimum of internal lubrication! Neither a fuel filter is able to do his work of cleaning and filtering if bacteria live in the tank producing new dirt every day.

Fuel Stabilizer BACTOFIN

Our solution is BACTOFIN.

We regularly test BACTOFIN and, since 1996, we always adapt our formula to the present state of fuel technology.
BACTOFIN itself does not cause corrosive or corrosion-accelerating effects. Either on aluminium nor chrome, stainless steel, iron, copper, magnesium, brass, steel plate, tin nor zinc.

Alloys of these metals, non-ferrous metals, black or white metal as well as old or more recent sealing material (sealing cords, felt, rubber, cork, plastic, metal and paper)  will not be affected or chemically modified by BACTOFIN.

BACTOFIN contains a corrosion inhibitor that avoids corrosion on steel sheet.

BACTOFIN dissolves incrustations, soot and other combustion residues in valves and combustion chambers.

BACTOFIN itself combusts cleanly without residues.

BACTOFIN - the better Lead Substitute

It is particularly easy to decide for the regular use of BACTOFIN in vehicles which normally run with lead substitute or top oil. Because BACTOFIN lubricates the valves at the same time - so, those using BACTOFIN can - in quiet conscience - do without lead substitue and top oil! In addition, BACTOFIN prevents corrosion in the fuel feed system. Rust has no chance!

How does BACTOFIN work:

- Active catalytic converters obtain an accelerated reaction and, thus, optimize combustion.
- Alkali reserves neutralise the acid input in the tank and keep away acid condensates from the metal parts of the fuel feed
  system.
- Anti-knock components in the form of high-octane compounds increase the octane rating and fuel´s knock resistance.
- BactoPlus+ biocide kills microorganisms already in the tank before foam, sludge and deposits can be produced.
- Anticorrosive additives attach to the metal parts of the fuel feed system and prevent rust and oxidation.
- Surface-active detergents infiltrate deposits in the combustion chamber and remove them. Tank, pipes, injection pump or
carburetor, intake ducts, valves, piston ring grooves and combustion chambers are pruned of deposits, varnish and renis
formation which are prevented at regular use.
- Surface-relaxant components ensure a finer atomisation of the fuel/air mixture.
- Surface-smoothing lubricating components reduce wear in the cylinder head and engine control area.
- Basic components containing oil restore fuel´s lubricating effect.
- Oxidation stabilisers protect fuel during winter break.
- Effective emulsifiers emulsify the condensed water in the tank and bind it in the fuel.

Advantage of BACTOFIN:

- Improved acceleration, high-revving engine, lowered wear and tear, higher performance, higher efficiency, better starting behaviour,
reduced fuel consumption, reduced exhaust emissions (soot, HC, CO, NOx), proper combustion, improved exhaust gas values,
reduced knock tendency, smoother engine running and effective corrosion protection of tank and pipes.
- Hot corrosion and other harmful effects involving sulphur and vanadium in the fuel are counteracted.
- The interior lubrication of all parts which are normally only moistened with petrol, as e.e. injection nozzles, carburetor flaps,
  pump membranes etc. is guaranteed.
- The water and the dissolved debris, remains of bacteria etc. pp. are lead away by the exhaust stream.
- The already emerged bacterial contamination in the tank is gradually dissolved
- The fuel´s ignition capacity is stabilized. Even after long winter breaks, the vehicle starts without any problem.

BACTOFIN Fuel System Treatment

Dosage and tips for the user:

The recommended dosage of  BACTOFIN is 1:1000. This means, 1 litre of BACTOFIN is sufficient for 1,000 litres of petrol.

Our can containing 1 litre has a practical measuring cup integrated in the screw cap. It holds 30 ccm of BACTOFIN sufficing for 30 litres of fuel. Its 5 grooves indicate each 6 ccm of BACTOFIN which is sufficient for 6 litres of petrol. Filling this measuring cup up to 3 grooves, therefore, is enough for 3 x 6 = 18 litres of petrol.

The tin cans of 300 ml which are also available unfortunately do not have a metering device because our supplier cannot deliver cans of this size with this metering device.

Our small bottle of 100 ml, ideal for the tank bag or ther stowage possibilities of the motorcycle, is transparent and equipped with a coloured scale which helps to measure out BACTOFIN exactly for 10 litres of petrol. Many of our customers use this bottle of 100 ml as an ideal measuring device refilling it by means of a funnel with BACTOFIN of a bigger can.

To obtain a finer mixing, BACTOFIN should be filled in before refuelling. A slight overdose is harmless. After all, you will never know exactly how much fuel will fit into the tank.

If, however, some BACTOFIN has to be added after refuelling, this does not signify a problem. Thanks to the normal movements of the fuel during service, the added BACTOFIN will rapidly mix with the petrol.

BACTOFIN Tank Corrosion Protection

Vehicles which are regularly used:

For everyday and seasonal vehicles that are used more or less regularly, BACTOFIN should be added AT ANY TIME when refuelling. Other precautions are not necessary.

However, you should take care that, at least once a month, the tank is filled up completely with the necessary quantity of BACTOFIN.

The economical option:

Of course, it is possible to pour in BACTOFIN only before the winter break (or other longer driving interruptions) and before an inspection or an exhaust emission test. For classic cars and modern vehicles which are operated with ethanol fuel (E5, E10 or E85), we recommend the regular use of BACTOFIN:

Vehicles with longer downtimes (2 to 9 months):

The most important rule relating to fuel is: Pour in BACTOFIN, fill up the tank, take the shortest way home and park the vehicle as it is.

Content and indication of consumption:

Available in packing units of 100 ml, 300 ml and 1 litre.

With a fuel consumption of 10 l/100 km, 1 litre of  BACTOFIN is sufficient for 10,000 kilometers - most users need less than 1 litre of BACTOFIN a year!

Shelf life of the product:

Each receptable should be tightly closed after every use in order to prevent contact with atmospheric oxygen. There do not exist more special storage requirements. On the indicated conditions, an opened receptable of BACTOFIN can be used at least for 2 years.

Storage inside the vehicle:

BACTOFIN is flammable, but not explosive. The fluid is filled up without pressure, develops little or no gas and has enough space in the packaging to compensate volume variations due to fluctuations in temperature. Therefore, the storage in the vehicle is possible without any problems. Of course, there should be no pressure applied on the packaging at the selected storage place. It should be fixed so that the product is not exposed to centrifugal forces without any protection.
